GLOTEC is the WLPGA's Global Technology Network that encourages WLPGA members' exchange on technology and innovation related to LP Gas.
The Global Technology Network (GLOTEC) has been coordinating projects and delivering products for its members for over five years. GLOTEC supports industry growth through the promotion of new technologies and innovation within the LP Gas industry.
What is the Global Technology Network (GLOTEC)?
GLOTEC is a network of World LP Gas Association members, driven by a dedicated WLPGA Technology Council. The Chairman of GLOTEC presides over the GLOTEC Council meetings, held thrice a year, and the Council decides the direction, priorities, and the type of projects to be considered for the global LP Gas industry. The Network encourages the WLPGA to exchange information on innovation and technology within the LP Gas industry. GLOTEC is for World LP Gas Association members only.
Global Technology Conference (GTC)
Every year, the World LP Gas Association (WLPGA) organises a World LP Gas Forum for LP Gas stakeholders and other distinguished stakeholders. It is the premium event in the LP Gas industry calendar because of its dynamic and high level speakers and variety of attendees including senior industry executives, policy makers, media and international agencies.
Every second year, a Global Technology Conference (GTC) is organised as a part of this event. The Global Technology Conference has a specific focus on technology. The aim is to foster an exchange of technical information and ideas among research entities and the worldwide LP Gas industry leading to increased global market opportunities for LP Gas. This technology focus involves new applications, improved technology for current markets, using energy more efficiently, safe operations, lessening energy’s impact on the environment and also improvements in operations, storage, distribution and transportation, as well as customer satisfaction.
The Global Technology Conference brings together leading LP Gas experts from across the world to present in parallel sessions on different types of topics from autogas to operations technology to applications innovation. Sessions in each of these parallel streams are organised to have common networking breaks and lunch, allowing delegates to move between streams if they wish. The streams provide valuable insights for everyone involved in any aspect of the LP Gas business.The next GTC will take place in Madrid, Spain from the 29th Sept. -1st Oct. 2010.

First Global Technology Conference
GTC, Chicago 2006
The Global Technology Conference in Chicago produced a vast amount of data and information on new applications and technical innovation in the LP Gas Industry. Following the success of the first GTC in Chicago, GLOTEC will begin the process of preparing for a second GTC to take place at the time of the 21st World LP Gas Forum to be held in Seoul in 2008. Presentations from Chicago are available to all World LP Gas members on the members' only site. Members will need their user names and passwords to access the site.

Following the success of the first GTC in Chicago, preparations are underway for holding the 2nd GTC in Seoul during the 21st Annual Forum. This GTC will have THREE parallel sessions – on global Autogas Developments, Operations Technology and Applications Innovation.Join the worldwide LP Gas industry at the second Global Technology Conference (GTC) to be held in Seoul on 26th September 2008. This GTC will be hosted by the Korean LP Gas Association and the WLPGA. It will bring together the best from the industry to share in the exchange of technical information and innovation.
